Yes, each person who completes the course by correctly answering at least 80 percent of the questions on the final exam will receive a certificate that complies with 49 CFR (also known as "General Awareness/Function Specific Training"). Will this course certify us to ship UPS and FedEx? Yes, this course teaches you how to "ground ship" with UPS and FedEx; however, in order to work with either company, you must complete an application and document your certification. Is my three-year certification for 49CFR still good? Your three-year certification is still valid, but the North American Hazmat Action Committee (NAAHAC) recommends annual training industry-wide. NAAHAC is comprised of representatives from major auto makers, including General Motors, Honda, Ford and Toyota. What is my shipper identification number? There is no a "shipper identification number." A vehicle ID number is required on the Hazardous Materials shipping papers for the transporter. Do you offer a 24-hour emergency hotline number? We do not currently offer this service. You will need to contact an emergency response telephone contractor or your OEM to receive this service.
